Why instructors choose this system
No antenna wire. That alone changes everything.
Most wireless beltpack transmitters have a thin wire antenna hanging off them. It catches on clothing, gets bent, corrodes from sweat, and causes crackling. The U-Series transmitter has no external antenna at all. One sealed on/off switch. Marine-coated circuit board. Recessed frequency dial that can't get bumped during class. It was designed by people who watched instructors break every other system and then fixed every weak point. AV Now calls it "the best built fitness wireless system hands down." They've been selling it for over 15 years.
FAQ
What's included in the box?
Receiver, beltpack transmitter, EMic headset with T4 MultiMic connector, DC power supply, and 1/4" audio cable. Rack mount kit is optional.
Do I need a mixer too?
If you want to play music and use a mic at the same time with independent volume controls and auto-ducking, yes. The system connects to your mixer's mic input. Check the Aeromix 1+1 for single-instructor rooms or the 2+2SR for team teaching.
Why does the frequency matter?
If two wireless systems in your building are on the same frequency, they interfere with each other. The U-Series gives you 16 channels to choose from — enough to avoid interference in most facilities. The recessed dial means nobody accidentally changes it.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
Yes. Standard AA rechargeables work in the transmitter. The DX6 system also supports the Fitness Audio Charging Dock for easier recharging.
Can I upgrade the headset later?
Yes. The beltpack transmitter uses a T4 connector. You can swap the EMic for an Aeromic or Cyclemic anytime — just order the headset with a T4 MultiMic connector.
How do I connect it to my sound system?
Plug the receiver's XLR or 1/4" output into your mixer's mic input. If you don't have a mixer, plug into a powered speaker's mic/line input. The receiver sits near your rack or sound system — not on the instructor.
Is this backwards compatible with older Fitness Audio systems?
The U-Series is compatible with all U-Series transmitters and receivers. It is NOT compatible with DX6 digital components — they are separate systems.
