What makes your mics different from regular wireless headsets?
They're purpose-built for sweat. The Aeromic and Cyclemic have four layers of protection — a sealed LS capsule with Carbon Collar, double mesh, all-steel cable, and a shrink-wrapped connector. Most wireless headsets are made for presenters in air-conditioned rooms. Ours are made for instructors doing 7 classes a day in 90°F cycling studios.
Which mic do I need?
It comes down to how often you teach. The FM-41 covers up to 7 classes a week — great for part-time instructors. The EMic handles up to 20 with a noise-cancelling capsule. The Aeromic is rated for 50+ classes a week with a 2-year sweat warranty. The Cyclemic is the same as the Aeromic but with a J-curve frame built specifically for the cycling position. Not sure? How do I know which connector to choose?
Our MultiMic system simplifies this. If your transmitter has a 4-pin mini-XLR connector, choose T4 — it works with Fitness Audio, Shure, Chiayo, Mipro, Toa, JTS, EV, Telex, and more. If it's 3-pin, choose T3 for AKG and Samson. For Sennheiser, pick the 3.5mm TRS option. For Audio-Technica, choose Hirose. Still not sure? Send us a photo of your transmitter and we'll tell you.
What does the 2-year sweat warranty actually cover?
The Aeromic and Cyclemic are guaranteed against sweat damage for 2 years — even at 7 classes a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. That's not a standard manufacturer warranty that excludes moisture. It specifically covers the thing that kills every other fitness mic. All warranty repairs are carried out by the original Aeromic technicians.
Do I need anything else besides the headset mic?
The headset plugs into a wireless bodypack transmitter, which sends your voice to a receiver connected to your sound system. If your studio already has a wireless system, you just need the headset with the right connector. If you're starting from scratch, check our complete kits — they include everything matched and ready to go.
Can I use one mic across different studios?
Yes — that's exactly what MultiMic is for. A T4 MultiMic connector works across all T4-compatible transmitters regardless of brand. So if one studio runs Fitness Audio and another runs Shure, the same mic works in both.
