FAQ
What's included in the box?
SDR-5616 receiver, UTX16 transmitter, Cyclemic CM11LS headset with T4 MultiMic connector, DC power supply, and audio cable.
Why the Cyclemic instead of the Aeromic for cycling?
The frame. The Cyclemic's J-curve is shaped for the forward-leaning bike position. It channels sweat to drip off instead of pooling at the capsule. The Aeromic works for cycling too, but the Cyclemic was built specifically for instructors who primarily teach from the bike.
Does the 2-year sweat warranty apply?
Yes. The Cyclemic carries the full 2-year conditional sweat warranty regardless of transmitter.
How does the charging dock work with back-to-back cycling classes?
Drop the UTX16 into the HC24 dock between classes. It auto-shuts off and charges. If you run classes with less than 30 minutes between them, keep a second set of charged AAs on hand. For studios running all-day schedules, two UTX16 transmitters in rotation with the dock is the smoothest setup.
Can I use this with the MTU8 cable-free transmitter instead?
The Cyclemic works with both. The UTX16 beltpack sits on your waist in a Pouchbelt. The MTU8 clips to the headset frame with no cable. For cycling specifically, the MTU8 cable-free setup eliminates the cable that can catch on handlebars — but the UTX16 with a Pouchbelt and a Hipster belt works well too. Different preference, same receiver.
Which frequency do I need?
Match your existing system or choose any available band. Options: 520, 536, 540, 560, 580 MHz. Contact us if you need help picking the right one for your facility.
