About the DX6-TF
Tech specs
Pairing Is Automatic
The DX6-TF connects to your receiver through the system's ASAP (Auto Search Auto Pair) function. Power on and the receiver finds a clean channel and links the transmitter on its own. There are no frequencies to match, which means a replacement or spare goes into service in seconds rather than requiring setup by whoever knows the equipment best.
Smaller Pack, Dock Charging
This transmitter is smaller than previous Fitness Audio beltpacks and sits comfortably in a standard pouchbelt, including the Aeromic Pouchbelt range. Fit it with rechargeable batteries and it drops straight into the Fitness Audio Charging Dock between classes. Studios running full daily schedules tell us dock charging is the difference between batteries being a daily chore and something nobody thinks about — it also saves wear on the battery door, which is a common failure point on any beltpack used every day.

Compatibility, Stated Plainly
The DX6-TF pairs with DX6 receivers only: the DX6-R studio receiver and the DX6-PR portable receiver. It is not backwards compatible with the older Fitness Audio D-Series, and it will not work with UHF systems like the U-Series, or with receivers from other brands. Your headset microphone connects to the transmitter in the DX6-compatible termination — if you are unsure which termination your mic has, contact us before ordering.
FAQ
Will the DX6-TF work with my existing receiver?
Only if your receiver is from the DX6 range: the DX6-R studio receiver or the DX6-PR portable receiver. It will not pair with the older Fitness Audio D-Series, with UHF receivers such as the U-Series, or with other brands' systems.
Can I add a second transmitter to my DX6 system for team teaching?
Yes, and no other hardware is needed. The DX6-R receiver has two receiver channels built in, so a second DX6-TF gives you two live mics through your existing receiver.
How do I pair a new DX6 transmitter with the receiver?
Pairing happens automatically. The receiver's ASAP (Auto Search Auto Pair) function finds a clean channel and links the transmitter when the system powers on. A replacement transmitter is ready to teach with in seconds.
What batteries does the DX6-TF use, and can they be rechargeable?
It runs on rechargeable batteries and is designed to work with the Fitness Audio Charging Dock, so the whole pack docks between classes instead of opening the battery door every day.
Does it come with a headset microphone?
No. This listing is the transmitter only. Aeromic, Cyclemic, and E-Mic headsets in the DX6-compatible termination are sold separately, along with the receivers.
How do I protect the transmitter from sweat?
Wear it in a neoprene pouchbelt, which puts a moisture barrier between the pack and your body. Most instructors pair this transmitter with an Aeromic Pouchbelt in the standard, Hipster, or armband style.
