Using a calibrated internal microphone, The Trigger continuously monitors room decibel levels and translates them into a bright, color-coded LED display. On its own, The Trigger is a warning. Linked to a Fitness Audio Aeromix mixer or the Gov'nor limiter, it becomes the enforcer: hold the room above your set level for more than two seconds and it fires the Aeromix's Audio Slap — an instant 15 dB duck — or engages the Gov'nor's limiting until the level drops back under the line. Instructors keep full control below the limit. The limit looks after itself.

Mount the display where the class can see it and keep the electronics at the rack: the Molex link connectors run over standard CAT5 or CAT6 cable up to 33 feet (10 m). What level should I set it to?
That depends on your room, your programming, and local requirements. Many operators start in the mid 90s dB for group fitness and adjust from there. The 79 to 109 dB range in 3 dB steps covers everything from office spaces to high-energy cycle rooms. Check your local noise ordinances and lease terms; The Trigger enforces the limit you choose, but choosing it is on you.
What's the difference between A and C weighting?
A weighting reads the way human hearing perceives loudness and is what most regulations reference. C weighting captures more low-frequency energy, useful in bass-heavy rooms where the thump is the problem. The Trigger supports both.
How do instructors work with it?
One instruction covers it: mix to one row of red LEDs on the sound peaks. Yellow is the early warning zone starting 6 dB before the limit, so there's no surprise when red appears.
Do I need Fitness Audio equipment to use it?
